ROANLD HAMILTON JR. TX DEATH ROW

My name is Ronald J. Hamilton Jr. #999436 to the state. And I am currently on "Texas Death Row". I am writing due to my legal representation. I am in "fear of my life", and in desperate need of legal help.

I have been on Death Row since November of 2002, and have only seen my lawyers once!

But before I go into detail about my lawyers, I would like to tell you a little about my case.

In November of 2002, the 12^th., being the day that I was told by my trial attorneys to "plead guilty", to the charge of Capitol Murder" . My trial attorney’s are one; Mrs. Loretta Muldrow, and one Mrs. Frances M. Northcutt.

And myself not knowing about the law what so ever, I did as I was told, thinking that they had my best interest at heart. I asked no questions.

My appeals are one; Mr. Bob Wicoff and one; Mr. Patrick F. McCann. Both, I have only seen once throughout the five years I have been here.

Mr. Wicoff a week before he was to go to Austin for my oral argument was the only time I seen him. And Mr. McCann a day before he was to file my writ for my state Habeas Corpus. Those are the only times I seen either of them.

Now, Mr. Wicoff’s time as my attorney "is up" , he "has done his job" as he put it! Im still in the state court, may I add; and Mr. McCann who I haven’t seen since 2003. I also have all the letters he has ever written to me! All 13 of them.

Which, in all of them, he’s telling me "nothing at all about my case". I know nothing about my case. I ask Mr. McCann, to send me a copy of my transcripts and he told me, "No". He cant do that can he?

After, I advised him that I was going to complain to the judge, I received a letter from him back in June 2006, telling me that my trial judge has issued orders to both sides, to file affidavits about some of the allegations that took place in my trial.

As well as some things in my Writ. On the state side its about information that was withheld also about other witnesses that would have been helpful in my behalf, that was also withheld, as well. On the defense side, about what my trial attorneys knew and didn’t know, about my guilty plea "In which my attorneys told me to say".

I have all the Writs that have been filed, and let me add if I may, that I was told to "plead guilty" at the last minute.

It was the day of my trial that I had ever FIRST HEARD ANYTHING, about me pleading guilty. If anyone can please help me, I have all the Writs that were filed so far, if you need them.

I hope that by the information I have given you so far, you could help me in some way, Anyway!

I am in dire need of legal help. If you need any more information, please let me know, just what you would need.

Please let me add to this some more information that is truly involved in this case too. Of which the state wants no one to hear.  But is important to this case of Ronald Hamilton Jr.

Some other information on Ronald James Hamilton Jr. That may be considered, and reasons why such has happened to him. And explains a lot of the not knowing what he was doing at the time he pled guilty as he was told to do. And surly a lot more.

Ronald J. Hamilton Jr. Was born and raised in Houston, TX. A black male better known as #999436 to the state, just another man on "Texas Death Row" to them. And many more im sure.

Let me take you back some time in Ronald’s life, if you will. Its not real pretty, but it’s the truth.

Fist let me say that Ronald wasn’t the "ordinary child next door". He wasn’t the child your son would ask over for a sleep over. I doubt he’s ever been invited to one in his life.

Ronald was raised by a drug addicted mother and father, one who’s mother was also a well-known prostitute. Before he, Ronald, was born, he was addicted. Why? Because his mother smoked drugs and drank alcohol from the first day till the day she had given birth to him. So the entire time while she was pregnant, and before, she was addicted not only to drugs and alcohol. But to pills as well. She used Valium while she was pregnant with him; not for pain or any medical reasons, I may add, but rather for her own delight.

At the age of 8 years old, Ronald was trying to find that same feeling he had in his mothers womb. So, at the tender age of eight, he began huffing aerosols and other gas’s to get high - just like both his parents. As you can see, he’s had it hard before day one! You can almost see why his life had ended long before it ever had the chance to start.

To make matters worse, he couldn’t read or write. Due to a severe visual perception deficit. Which is similar to dyslexia, from which he suffered.

Ronald was placed in special education classes before he was in the second grade.

When he was 13 years old, he was still reading at a 1^st grade level. At the time nobody knew of this, much less cared about him being mentally retarded.

But now at this time, this very day, the state is eagerly trying to kill Ronald by claiming he is not "retarded, he only has a disorder"!

The record’s reflect that in 1987 he had an I.Q. of 92. However, what they are slow to acknowledge is; that Ronald was in fact 10 years old and enrolled in second grade during that time, when most fourth graders are of ten years in age.

Due to this, it made it difficult for him to fit in anywhere! At school, he was an outsider, and at home he was an outcast. As far as school was concerned, he was left behind in every one of his classes; that’s until his school got tired of him, embarrassing THEM, and therefore "Socially Promoted" him into the next grade.

Ronald was 10 years old in second grade. He couldn’t be held back more than two years from his peers in school; that, plus they had "to get him out of their way".

It got to a point where he wasn’t just a child with a problem learning, NO, he WAS the problem.

So, with his trouble learning at school, in addition to the problem with his drug addicted parents waiting at home. Ronald had no one to turn to, for any help.

Having those facts, before you, one can almost be certain that, for survival purposes, a life of crime was in the child’s future.
